What does the CHS SafeClose™ Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty Cover?
The "CHS SafeClose Home Systems only Breakdown Warranty" covers the Central Heating System, Central Air Conditioning System, Interior Plumbing System, Interior Electrical System, Ductwork and Water Heater (if owned). The "CHS SafeClose Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty" covers Refrigerator, Range, Stove, built-in Dishwasher, Clothes Washer & Dryer, Garbage Disposal, Trash Compactor, Sump Pump, Garage Door Opener, as well as items covered under the "CHS SafeClose Home Systems only Breakdown Warranty".
What's not covered?
The Warranty covers only those Parts, Systems and Appliances, Specifically Mentioned as Covered and excludes all others. The Warranty does Not Cover Systems or Appliance Breakdowns due to a Lack of Maintenance. Items covered must be located within the Main Foundation of the Home. Your Homeowner's Insurance Policy may cover certain items that are Not Covered by this Warranty coverage, such as water damage to your floors or ceiling caused by the Breakdown of an Appliance or a System, etc.
I have an Older Home. Will I have to pay more for a Breakdown Warranty?
No, The CHS SafeClose™ Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty provides coverage for Systems and Appliances to any home no matter what its age - as well as any Brand or Manufacturer of Systems and Appliances. However, the Systems and Appliances must be in Good Working Order at the Start of the Warranty Coverage.
Is everything in my home covered by the Breakdown Warranty?
No. However, we do offer coverage for many of the Most Frequently Occurring Breakdowns of Home Systems and Appliances. Please review your Breakdown Warranty for Specific Covered Items, Terms, and Conditions, limitations and exclusions.
What is the difference between Homeowner's Insurance and The CHS SafeClose™ Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty?
Homeowner's Insurance is Hazard Insurance. Its coverage usually extends to items solely damaged by fire, water, wind or other disasters. The CHS SafeClose™ Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty, Repairs Items Listed in your Warranty that Breakdown due to Normal Wear and Tear.
I do not currently have Breakdown Warranty Coverage on my home but I do have a Current Problem with one of my Systems or Appliances. Will this Problem be Covered if I Purchase a Home Warranty Plan Today?
Unfortunately, we Do Not Cover Pre-Existing Conditions. However, if a Covered Item were to Breakdown while under the protection of an active Breakdown Warranty, it would be covered subject to the Conditions, Terms, and limitations of your Warranty.
Can I enroll in the CHS SafeClose™ Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty Program if I am not in a Real Estate Transaction?
Yes. The CHS SafeClose™ Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty can be purchased during Homeownership. It is not necessary for you to be involved in a Real Estate Transaction at the time of Purchasing the Warranty Coverage.
How do you buy the CHS SafeClose™ Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty Coverage?

Is there a limit to the number of service calls I can place each year?
Absolutely not! There is No Limit to the Number of Service Calls you can place on your Home each year with the CHS SafeClose™ Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty Program. In fact, many Customers place Multiple Service Calls each Year and Save Hundreds to Thousands of Dollars in Repair Bills.
How do I place a Repair Service Call when a covered item Breakdown?
It is Very Easy. You call our Repair Service Line at 1-888-838-2818, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and we will take your Repair Service request by phone and dispatch a Service Work Order to an Independent Service Technician in your Area.
How soon will a Service Technician Schedule an Repair Appointment for my System or Appliance Breakdown?
In most cases, the Independent Service Technician will Contact You within 24 Hours during Normal Business Hours to Schedule a mutually convenient Appointment. Emergency Service Situations we have handled in Two to Four Hours.
Is there a Service Fee Per Visit?
Yes. Each Time a Technician comes to your Home to Repair a System or Appliance a $100 Fee is payable By You. If a Repair involves Two Different Technicians You will owe a Fee for Each One. Any additional costs for Parts and Service will be Covered by your Warranty. There is No Limit to the Number of Repairs covered by Your Warranty.
Will you Reimburse Me for the Services that I had done outside the Warranty?
Unfortunately No, as outlined in the Warranty Information in the Terms and Conditions, should the Homeowner Contract Directly with Others or do the work themselves, we will Not be Responsible for Reimbursement of that Cost.
What is a Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty?
The CHS SafeClose™ Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty provides one-year coverage for Major Home Systems and Appliances. The Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty covers failures due to Normal Wear and Tear of Systems and Appliances located within the Foundation of the Home during the Term of the Warranty.
Why do I need a Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty?
A Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty is a Very Important Asset to Maintaining the Value of Your Home and is a Priority for Most Homeowners. Unexpected Repairs can easily strain your Budget, plus finding an Approved and Insured Contractor to Solve your Problem can be Stressful and Inconvenient. Yes. The SafeClose™ Home System and Appliance Breakdown Warranty is Renewable. You will be Notified by e-mail of your Warranty Agreement's upcoming Expiration Date and the Terms of Renewal 30-60 Days before the end of your Term.
How do I renew my CHS SafeClose Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty?
Simply go to the Buy Coverage page and complete the Existing Homeowners Order Form, at least 15 days before the Expiration of your Current Warranty.
How long is the coverage of the CHS SafeClose Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty?
Your CHS SafeClose Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty Coverage is Effective for One Year upon a 30 Day Waiting Period after receipt of payment, with a Renewal Option on Expiration.
How much does the CHS SafeClose Home Systems and Appliance Breakdown Warranty Coverage Cost?
The CHS SafeClose Home Systems only One-Year Warranty Coverage is $499.00, plus applicable taxes and The CHS SafeClose Home Systems and Appliance One Year Warranty Coverage is $599.00, plus applicable taxes.
